My mission…or something.

I think we either add value to the world or subtract it. There’s no gray area. I also believe we have a moral obligation to do what we find meaningful; to do quality work.

So, long story, not so short.

Take a deep breath.
Whenever someone asks me what I do, I take a sip of whatever drink I have at hand and pray for an answer. I still don’t have one. You see, I’ve been a capoeira teacher, tour guide, adventure guide, entrepreneur, design researcher and curator, fashion designer, again entrepreneur, and for the last two years, copywriter. 

I’ve designed several jewelry collections and two trophies for Tane, and an iPad purse for Hermés petit h. I quit design school to start a tech business aiming to fix the fashion industry and actually did pretty well for about 4 years. We got a high valuation for a young Mexican startup and I was nominated for “35 innovators under 35 LATAM” by the MIT Tech Review in 2018. Things went pretty well, until they didn’t haha.  So, I took a step back to think about what I wanted to learn next, hence me being here.

About two years ago, I researched who the top players of the advertising industry were, both worldwide and in Mexico. So, I e-mailed a bunch of people I didn’t know, became pen pals with Alex Bogusky, and I’ve been working at McCann for almost two years now. It’s been quite a ride.

• I don’t like novels, so I decided to write three to understand them better.
